Frequently asked questions
-
Do I have to move to a property at a Mayfield village?
-
No. Our on site care and wellness team are available to property owners who live at a Mayfield village, but our carers also travel out in to the local community.
Our team provide expert help for a range of domestic and general housekeeping tasks. Someone is always available to lend a hand, be it for a few days or only on specific occasions. You’re in complete control — and you’ll only pay for the services you use.
-
If I do move to a Mayfield village, will I be able to stay in my home as long as I choose?
-
The whole ethos of Mayfield Villages is to provide a beautiful setting for your apartment, along with health and wellness services for you as an active, independent person, while also catering for whatever needs you may have in the future. Most of us would like to believe we can manage all of the challenges that come with growing older but, should you ever require it, we can discreetly adapt both your home and the range of services we provide.

If I require Mayfield Villages Care, how do I go about arranging it?
-
Contact Mayfield Villages Care and make an appointment for the local Branch Manager to visit you at home for a chat. We will discuss ways we can help and then, once you have decided how you would like us to work for you, simply leave the rest to us.
-
What can my care personal assistant help me with?
-
Mayfield Villages Care provides a wide range of homecare services to enable you to stay as independent and mobile as possible. We can assist with getting out of or into bed, bathing, shaving, getting dressed, ironing, preparing meals, collecting prescriptions or shopping. You always stay in control – our team can lend a hand for a few days or only on specific occasions.
-
Will I have the same person to help me every day?
-
Continuity of Care is extremely important to us, so we try to make sure you have the same small team of carers to assist you. We will also make sure you get to know the wider homecare team based at the local branch, so if your main carer is on holiday, you know who will take over during that time.
-
How can I be confident that my carer will complete all their tasks?
-
After every visit, details are documented on the care workers electronic device. You can contact the care team who can share information on how these can be accessed by yourself or family members. As a customer you are not required to sign anything. The care worker will log in and out of the visit using an electronic tag that will be held in the care folder in each property.
-
Is my personal security assured?
-
Mayfield Villages Care, part of the Audley Group, has over 25 years’ experience and an enviable record of service delivery. All our staff undergo a rigorous vetting procedure before they ever start work. In addition, they will always be in uniform and carry a personalised identification card which shows their name, photograph and signature.
-
Who is available at night?
-
Two members of the Mayfield Villages Care team will be on duty throughout the night and can assist in the event of an emergency. They will regularly patrol the village. There is also availability of 24 hour care.
-
How much does the service cost?
-
Our prices are competitive. We will ensure you do not spend any more than you need to. Plus, you’ll only pay for the services you use. Please contact your local Branch Manager to discuss how much a tailor-made package would be.
-
Can I get any help with the cost of care?
-
The Branch Manager will be able to advise you how you may go about seeking financial assistance with any fees.
-
How do I pay for my care?
-
You will be invoiced monthly and we request payment by direct debit. If this is not suitable then you should speak with the care branch manager for alternative solutions.
-
What happens if I need assistance outside of office hours?
-
We maintain an out-of-hours emergency service. When the office is closed, your call will be picked up by a member of the senior care team who can help you.
